During our Summer 2004, family vacation to Lancaster County Pennsylvania, I visited the Mennonite Historical Society (http://www.lmhs.org/) as I had always wondered why COL Frederick Hambright's family originally migrated to Lancaster Pennsylvania.  The Mennonite Historical Society has a extensive genealogy library and in it I found this article about COL Hambright's family.  The 1979 article from the The Pennsylvania Genealogical Magazine was written by Thomas and Catherine Gorton and is mostly about his older brother John who left an incredible legacy in the history of Pennsylvania.

The article references an incredible list of genealogical resources that may be helpful to any researcher.  The bookmark references are not synchronized after 38 as that is exactly what is found in the original document.  Also, please forgive the lame advertising inserted into the document by Tripod, but you get what you pay for.
